My Veiws on Chicken Soup for the Soul

I seriously don't know anyone who doesn't own at least one of these books. They are like gabbing with you friends on various topics. I love reading stories that sound like something one of my friends or family members might tell me in a conversation. These books also bring tears to my eyes. When I read about mothers in several books, teens and campus life, and the 20th Anniversary Reader's Choice, it related to me on such a personal level.
As a mother there are times when the baby won't sleep and feel like you are going to tear your hair out. When things got like that for me I read a story from the book while I was rocking or feeding my son and it calmed me. It made me thankful to have all those sleepless nights and tired mornings when you really just want to cover your head and hide from the world. Next time I go to a baby shower I am getting the mom a copy of Chicken Soup for the New Mom's Soul. I know my mother makes me crazy with saying I always did this or that for you, or you should do it the way I did. Sometimes it helps to know there are other mothers out there like you or things to inspire you to be a better mom. After all where is a perfect mother? They don't exist.
When I was younger I really liked Campus Chronicles and Soup for the Teenage Soul. At those fragile moments in a  young girls life she needs support. Especially for girls like me who don't have a lot of friends but have a lot of books. I would recommend this book to any teen that needs a boost.
